If you are a British expatriate, you should certainly learn more about the British European Association. This is an independent organisation supported by ordinary people of all backgrounds, with no political affiliations. It is an associate member of Europeans Throughout the World.
Our main aim is to obtain voting rights for disenfranchised ex. pats. in national parliamentary elections.
It organises a range of social activities and publishes a bi-annual Bulletin in English, The British European, which is aimed at members and non-members alike. It is staffed by volunteers and has links with other organisations for expatriates in Denmark and throughout the European union. Our Campaign Committee lobbies MPs and the European Union on the subject of voting rights and other issues of interest to Brits abroad.
The annual general meeting is held each October.
